Tengo un MacBook Pro de 15 pulgadas de mediados de 2010 que se ejecuta en una instalación fresca de la última versión soportada de macOS (High Sierra 10.13.6). Sé que esto es muy viejo, pero a excepción de la batería (que he eliminado de la computadora portátil) sigue siendo una gran máquina. Todo funciona bien excepto que las aplicaciones instaladas desde la App Store no se inician (la descarga e instalación funciona bien).
Por ejemplo, después de descargar The Unarchiver, inmediatamente después de hacer doble clic en la aplicación, me aparece el siguiente mensaje de error:
El Unarchiver ha abandonado inesperadamente. Haga clic en Informe para ver información más detallada y enviar un informe a Apple.
De nuevo, esto ocurre con todas las aplicaciones de la App Store (no sólo "The Unarchiver").
Curiosamente, las aplicaciones instaladas fuera de la App Store funcionan perfectamente. He probado a instalar Microsoft Teams, Discord y Minecraft, y todas las aplicaciones se inician y funcionan con normalidad.
He indagado un poco y he descubierto que quizá este problema esté relacionado con que las firmas de las aplicaciones no funcionan para la App Store de alguna manera. Por ejemplo, verifiqué la firma de "The Unarchiver" usando el siguiente comando en mi terminal:

Ya me he puesto en contacto con el servicio de asistencia de Apple, pero tampoco lo saben y no quieren escalar este problema porque tanto mi MacBook como macOS High Sierra son demasiado antiguos (y, por tanto, no tienen soporte).
Además, este problema no parece estar relacionado con Muchas aplicaciones de la tienda de aplicaciones de OS X aparecen como "app" está dañado y no se puede abrir que da un mensaje de error diferente.
