El terminal ~/.profile no contiene `source ~/.bashrc` en OS X 10.9.1

El terminal se muestra abajo en esta etapa en la página de instalación de gerris: http://gfs.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Mac_OSX_Installation

Note: make sure that the file ~/.profile contains the line
source ~/.bashrc

Pero el ~/.profile no contiene la fuente ~/.bashrc. ¿Cómo podría gestionarlo?
