Error en las Preferencias del Sistema: "Se ha producido un error en las preferencias de Seguridad y Privacidad"

Cuando abro las Preferencias del Sistema (versión 14.0) y luego hago clic en Seguridad y Privacidad, me aparece un mensaje de error:

Error en las preferencias
Hubo un error en las preferencias de Seguridad y Privacidad.

Estoy utilizando MacOS Sierra versión 10.12.4 (16E195) en el Macbook Air (principios de 2014), 1,4 GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB

He cambiado la configuración del idioma, la configuración de la hora, etc. a lo largo del uso. No sé mucho de programación, pero he utilizado el Terminal para cambiar algunos ajustes manualmente. También he borrado algunos archivos para los que necesitaba una contraseña para eliminarlos, para deshacerme de iTunes. Porque me apetecía. He entrado con otra cuenta en el mismo MacBook, y me he encontrado con el mismo problema en Preferencias del Sistema > Seguridad y Privacidad.

Ya he probado a reiniciar, iniciar y cerrar la sesión. También he notado que parece que puedo abrir cualquier otro icono en las preferencias del sistema. El problema parece que no es mi culpa, dado que es en ambas cuentas. Es bueno señalar que he utilizado la línea de comandos para tratar de revelar los archivos ocultos y esas cosas, pero no creo que sea eso.

En ambos inicios de sesión estaba en una cuenta de administrador con contraseña. Este es el error de la consola:

Intenté la respuesta marcada como Resuelto por Maxym en " Panel de preferencias de Seguridad y Privacidad Error Mavericks "pero clients.plist no desapareció:
